Wheelchair Rugby - Season Launch

Harlequins battle it out against rivals Power House.

Since its inclusion to the Paralympic Games in 2000, wheelchair rugby’s popularity has taken off worldwide. Australia is currently ranked no.1 in the world by the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation and Victoria proudly fielded seven of the twelve players who won gold at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. Played on a hardwood basketball court over four eight minute quarters, two teams battle it out using their specially designed wheelchairs to crash, block and trap when a player crosses the opposition’s goal line with possession of the ball.

The new season will be launched on 19th March at Aqualink Box Hill (31 Surrey Drive, Box Hill, 3128) and will include the Juniors Club Challenge and the opening matches of the season. For further information click the links below:
