UNDER 14 Maroons

Well done boys, too bad we let Endeavour start strongly giving us a bit to work with at the end. It was encouraging that we fought hard as a team, used our strength and never gave up. Another few minutes and we would have got them!

Rather than look as this game as a loss, lets build on this and focus on our structure at trainings.  Remember to train as hard as you play and if everyone brings their best attitude and confidence to the game we will only get better.  Be persistent and work hard.

Great tries to Justin and Ben and everyone running with the ball. Special thanks to Mike for carrying the drinks (even with a mallet finger??) and his support, looking forward to having him back in the game soon.  Thanks Bob for being the touchy, always so supportive!

Final score 33-17 to Endeavour Hills

Harlequins with an away game played Endeavor Hills with conditions cold at the start but gradually getting warmer and sunnier over time.

Harlequins really stepped up to the plate and showed how they have improved with their training on Monday & Wednesday nights. Teamwork was a main quality! Harlequins showed real confidence against the big guys and really pushed our competition to their limits with a 2 point lead with only minutes to go.

Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in winning, but were able to walk away with our heads held high and being very proud of what we achieved!  The Harlequins really showed what they can do with their training and confidence.

That was the best game against Endeavour Hills they’ve had.

In the game Sebastian Sialau scored 4 tries, William Roostan scored 2 tries as well as Aseri Uluikadavu who also scored 2 tries.

Sorry I would like to say who scored conversions, but my memory does not serve me well!

Rugby today was good. We went up against Brimbank. It took us at least 50 minutes to get to Sunshine where Brimbank's home ground is. The score was 52 them, 17 to us.

In the first half Luke did a great run and scored for us! Spencer did great scoring 2 try's for us and Tristen did a great tackle! Finlay did a great job of passing the ball and Lewis did a great job of tricking them!

We need to work on our tackles more! Other than that we did great. We had lots of improvement from last game! Good job.

Today we played Endeavor hill away. We didn't have a good first half,  we weren't tackling well and our cleaning out wasn't quick enough.

Second half we come back with some big hits and straight runs. Sam and Blair score tries each. End of the game Endeavor hills 27-12.

Under 10's

A leisurely drive down Warragul Rd to Moorabbin to take on the Rams. The Rams have always been a good side, and today was no exception, it was a tough day at the office for the team. The first half we leaked a few tries and found it difficult to get any rhythm in either our defensive or attacking play. Hugo scored a great run away try and Alistair converted.

The second half was a vast improvement, particularly in defence with first up tackles being around the legs, much better work around the ruck and better support play. It was a real arm wrestle with the play going up and down the field.

This was a good game to have mid-way through the season, for it shows the need to keep improving our team work, getting up in a line in defence and tackling low around the legs, and running onto the ball! Our scrum was strong all day, our line out competed well and our second half scrambling defence was good.
