Match Date:
2nd Jun 2018
Team:

Harlequins (48) vs Footscray (7)

This week saw us take on Footscray at a home game, against a physically big team, the message was clear from the coach’s to play in there half.

It was a very physical game for both the forwards and the backs with a lot of big tackles and strong ruck play. Sticking to our structure showed that we could keep them score less in the first half.

The forwards performed well in the scrums and line outs winning ball against the feed and putting pressure on the opposing teams line out. It was a high kicking game from both sides and a particularly strong performance of the backs under pressure to take the Footscray kicks from deep in our half and turn it into attack as well as putting their backs under a lot of pressure of our kicks.

Overall very good performance that we can take as a good win against a big opposition. The short break will give us time to improve our individual game and team work.
