On a cold wet morning the Quins Under 11's started strongly against Box Hill with plenty of continuity in play. This culminated in a well deserved try to Isaac, Captain for the day. Box Hill were well organised and committed in defence and after further quick ball from Taine from the base of the ruck we scored again. We went into the halftime break 2 tries to nil thanks a great try saving covering tackle by Ewan and strong defence across the team. Ryan also worked hard in the rucks until he was injured.

Box Hill started strongly in the 2nd half and were rewarded with a try after out enthusing us at the breakdown. Game on! We lifted our intensity and good link work from Jacob, strong running from Simon, Michael, Isaac and Lachie led to 2 further tries. Cormac and Rosie worked hard in the lineĀ outs and to keep us on the front foot. Box Hill scored a further try, but by then we had enough on the scoreboard to run out 20-12 winners.

A good win in our first game of the season and strong debuts and tackling from 7 players in their first under 11 full field game was very encouraging. The post game chocolate awards tasted sweet.
