The U14's second match of the season was against our traditional rivals Box Hill at the Quins home ground.

The conditions were cold and rainy, however the ground was in pretty good condition.  A strong squad of 19 players started with a couple more arriving shortly after the game had started from their school boy rugby commitments.

Unlike last week the Quins started strongly with Matthew Dudley scoring a quick try before the opposition could settle.  The first half saw the Quins the stronger team.  The scrum was working well and the backs displayed some fancy passing skills.

The second half saw the teams more evenly matched as Box Hill managed to score  a few tries however the Quins also managed to keep up their scoring through the match with ties to Ben Niubalava, Atu Bose, Michael Byrne and Sam Tuibua.

Special mentions to Tihan Abeywickrema, a new player to the Quins this year, who is finding his feet in the scrum, Koli Ika (who had the standard bloody nose) and the Sanerive twins who continue to provide a lot of muscle in the forward pack.

The final score was a win 29 to 21.
