During our long history the Harlequin Club has developed strong rivalries and associations with other clubs, which have led to annual matches within the VRU competition. Each year the following trophies are contested by the Harlequins:

• The Bott Bolton Trophy against Melbourne
• The Bruce Bailey Blazer against Box Hill
• The Don Brooker Memorial Shield against Kiwi Hawthorn
• The Penwill Cup against Melbourne University
