Juniors 4 - 18 years old

The Quins junior rugby program runs from boys and girls aged 4 years old through to 18 year olds. At every level, the rugby programs are structured to best suit the development of the players and we take into account their level of experience from the game. Every year we have players who are new to the game right through the age groups and we help them learn the game and develop the right skills.

We provide the following programs which comprise both contact rugby and non/low-contact touch formats.

Get into Rugby Program

4–6-year-old girls and boys (born 2017-2019).

We run a once-a-week non-contact skills program with gamified fun activities to engage the kids and develop their running, movement, evasion and catching skills. The environment helps them to build social connection with others.

Timing: March August

Pathway Program

6–10-year-old girls and boys (born 2013-2017).

We run once-a-week skills development training sessions with Under 7s progressing to a no / low contact ‘grab hips’ in defence format. This helps their progression to the Under 8, Under 9 & Under 10 groups who learn and play the tackle and contact format of the game. Under 7, 8 & 10 teams play in the Rugby Victoria run inter-club friendly games on Saturday mornings (times below) on a home and away basis – no game scores or competition ladders are kept.

Timing: March August (inter-club games late April to mid-August)

Games: late April – late August
