Physio and Medical at Quins

The first aid rooms at Quins are named after the late John Bretnall. John worked tirelessly at the club over four decades – providing strapping and massage at training on Tuesday and Thursday and all grade games on a Saturday. John is photographed with Club President Brock Parker on the unveiling of the plaque to recognise John’s extraordinary service.

Physio

Harlequins is supported by Optimus Physio who provide training and match day support for the club. We thank the Optimus team for the longstanding and continued support of Harlequins.

Medical

Harlequins is close to the Monash Medical Centre in Clayton. The hospital and medical centre is around a ten minute drive from the club.

Rugby Australia

All junior and senior players for the club must be registered with Rugby Australia. Rugby Australia provides a basic level of coverage and details can be found on the RA link.

As noted on the RA site, whilst the National Risk Management and Insurance Programme provides basic levels of cover for players and others participating in Rugby, it is not all encompassing (this is necessary to keep the cost of insurance affordable for all players) and does not seek to replace the need for other insurances.

Rugby Australia encourages all players and officials to take out their own private health insurance, life insurance and ‘Top Up’ coverage over and above the coverage provided under the National Risk Management and Insurance Programme.
